There are many things to chat about. I would like to start with Lucky Jacks. For those who are not familiar with Lucky Jacks, it is a groovy joint in the East Village. Sacha (aka: Lord Lorax) and his partner Frances Ann run Lucky Jacks and I thank them and love them. They are the folks who run the Open Mic that happens there every Thursday. There is a feature act that happens at 10 PM, and I was grateful to be apart of the feature. Frances's superb bartending skills joined together with her warm heart and feelings for those who attend her open mic, as she lit the candles on a birthday cake for Katie (if I'm not mistaken), a comedian who performed that night. Witnessing Frances's love for her job and for those around her was pleasant and I adore her whole heartidly. LOrd Lorax is another positive role model to speak of too. His performance around 12:30 am was astonishing. The rock legend started by making a few sounds with his guitar and recording it with a pedal on the floor. Next, he recorded a few vocal tracks, blending the vocals with the guitar. Third, he recorded a few more guitar riffs, blending the vocals, and two guitar riffs together. Etc, etc, until the entire room was lit up with Sacha's signature sound. I was truly in awe, as well as a comfortable meditational state. The chills were satisfying and the performance was far more mature and better then many musicians I've witnessed in the New York City area this past year. There is a picture of my groovy new friend, Lord Lorax, and I at Lucky Jacks. Love is in the air as Justin Timberlakes song, Suit and Tie, is a crowd favorite. Walking into a crowd full of Knicks fans in front of Macy's was quite groovy, my word of the month. With cameras, basketball players, cheer leaders, and Knicks logos plastered on the court, shirts, and signs around, I found myself in an ABC broadcasted moment in Herald Square, 2 minutes from Time Square. With the camera swaying around everyones face, and people screaming, I continued to feel grateful and in love with the life I've been given. Dreaming is something that God says, bless your heart, here is a gift to you. Life is a gift. There is something higher and bigger then us, and we are just the animals who live to serve the caregivers requests. We are one, we are united by a common bond, love, the whole planet sing it along. We are the world. My next topic is the Hoboken Public Library. While this is not just a FREE library, it is a gorgeous one. The Gazebo at Church Square Park is located directly in front of the Library which is on 5th street. On Friday I found myself on a musical adventure. My roommate was kind enough to lend me his mini amp (cube) which runs on batteries, and I carried it around singing for at least 5 hours in Hoboken. Enough time to strain the vocal chords. I started at Pier A, right next to Erie Lackawana. Pier A is a rich spot and a local favorite. Pier A is also somewhere I will play more and more and post on this website when I do. Having discovered Pier A and the Hoboken Library, I am satisfied and feeling motivated. Discovering a free public library is enough to make me want to do a back flip. The Gazebo at Church Square Park directly in front of the Free Public Library actually has famous composers from the 1700's and 1800's engraved into the wood at the top of the Gazebo. Composers such as Hendel and Mozart and listed for all to see. After singing for 3 hours at Pier A and stumbling into the Public Library and Church Square Park Gazebo, I noticed there was over 250 people in plain view. As I free'd my worries and came to terms with the importance of performing to over 250 people at a time, I felt confident and grateful as I began to perform at Church Square Park. My goal is to get friendly with these local cuties and work with them. My goal is to raise money with them, love them, sing with them, and put on shows with them. If you are from Hoboken or in the area and you are reading this, please contact me so we can jam together and further a movement full of love, positive energy, and grateful songs together. This movement will start at the Hoboken Public Library and spread like a vast wave of love for you across the local boroughs around here. I will be at the Hoboken Public Library next Saturday at 2pm with the legendary and wholey professional, Lord Lorax. Here is a picture of the Gazebo we will be performing in... Notice how Verdi, Bach, and Beethoven are listed on top of the Gazebo. How cool is that right?? Doesnt it fascinate you??? I am in love and dreaming. My job at Toys R Us in Time Square is life changing, and the money I am making goes immediately and directly towards any and all music recordings. I can not wait to create experiences with all the incredibly talented musicians around here. My brain immediately thinks of Jennifer Sullivan (talented!!!) as well as Matt Bednarsky and Matt Pless. My own brother Matt Robinson is going to love where I've been living and what I've been up to. Can't wait to see him. That reminds me.. I'll display this and thank you Mom for posting... I love Matt so much!! I can't stand how much I love him and want to hang with him here in New York. So my friends, now is the time I rack my brand for more reviews on local hott spots. lolol. Hmmm... Lets write a review on Waltz Astoria a beautiful music venue in Astoria Queens. Waltz is complete with a Grand Piano, a stage, a balcony, excellent sandwhiches, and a charming gentleman named Pedro. Waltz has been lit up by local genious Miranda Inzunza and is occasionally graced by the presance of Jonesy (Chris Jones). Waltz Astoria is definately a local favorite and many people flock to Waltz to display there talent and join in on certain experiences. I am pleased to thank Waltz Astoria for existing and being a loved music venue. Life rolls on and thoughts spin. I am pleasantly excited and grateful to be recording at the Shrine World Music Venue in Harlem on Tuesday. I will not be singing today or tomorrow so that my voice can recooperate from the 5 hour performance in Hoboken on Friday. lol. I love you. I really really really love you. I love life, I love my friends and family, and I just effing love you people. My goal is to record 4 new songs titled Birthday, Historical, Song To You, and It's OK. Then I will positively post, and put together a mini project of those 4 songs along with One Thing is For Sure, an old song I wrote based off a similar guitar riff as Galaxy by legend Jason Mraz. Providing you with these 5 songs is exciting and I await patiently to get my broseph back in the mix. Thank you for your listening ears and thank you for making the incredible music you make my friends. You are all so talented and this dream is one I am so happy to dreaming with you. God Bless...
