This is a song titled Love for Jesus. I wrote it a few weeks ago and it is still a work in progress. I've started the lyrics with a scripture from Psalms, just as a form of acknowledgement for God or even prayer.
Psalm 20 For the director of music. A Psalm of David. 1 May the Lord answer you when you are in distress; may the name of the God of Jacob protect you. 2 May he send you help from the sanctuary and grant you support from Zio 3 May he remember all your sacrifices and accept your burnt offerings. C G Am F The love in all things floods me today Like the feelings of a radio wave When love is the conversation It leaves me feeling frozen again So my love for you is simply strengthening Like a backwards piece that slips off a table I just know when it lands it will be alright. So I squeeze and hold on tight. Chorus C G. Am. F For this love is mutual And I’ve found myself in you So I just want to prove it and show it to you Yeah I’ve found myself in you And it’s true there waiting on you And this congregation has gathered Because love has poured through (by you)for you I want to write a song, a song for you Because you’ve been there in my life through and through I don’t know how you do it but you always do I can’t even describe it’s just something you do It’s something like care like concern like guidance from above Your love leading me out of rivers that are mucky when I’m stuck I don’t feel so young anymore and I’m ready to commit A new chapter a new beginning something new where I won’t quit This isn’t just small this is bigger than myself Cuz I’ve felt my body burn, burn to the ground Your love is always there when nothing else is And that’s enough for me, in fact that completes my whole riff You’re all I’ll ever need and I’m so happy we’re in love I’ve fallen once again, I remember you driving me nuts I’ll don’t think I can ever explain exactly how I feel I’m just so thankful to be in a love that’s so explosive, so real.
